ARTICLE 1- PREAMBLE

 

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used and shared when you visit or make a purchase on https://maisonappoline.com/ (the “Site”).

The company APPOLINE undertakes, as Data Controller, to comply with the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 relating to the protection of personal data (GDPR) as well as the Law n° 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms, modified (known as the Data Protection Act).

ARTICLE 3 - PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED AND PROCESSED IN THE CONTEXT OF BROWSING THE SITE 

 

3-1 COLLECTED DATA:

Your data is stored in the data storage system and databases of our service providers. Your data is stored on secure, protected servers.

If you make your purchase through a direct payment gateway, then Shopify will store your credit card information. This information is encrypted in accordance with the payment card industry's data security standard (PCI-DSS). Information relating to your purchase transaction is retained for as long as necessary to complete your order. Once your order is finalized, the information relating to the purchase transaction is deleted.

All direct payment gateways comply with the PCI-DSS standard, managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is the joint effort of companies such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements ensure the secure processing of credit card data by www.maisonappoline.com and its service providers.

Appoline does not sell, rent or disclose your personal information to third parties other than companies belonging to its group, its service providers within the European Union, or an administrative or judicial authority which has ordered it to do so.

Furthermore, if you are a European resident, note that we process your information in order to fulfill our contractual obligations towards you (for example if you place an order on the Site) or to pursue our commercial interests legitimate.  Please also note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Any user concerned by the processing of their personal data can avail themselves of the following rights, in application of European regulation 2016/679 and the Data Protection Act (Law 78-17 of January 6, 1978):

ARTICLE 6- USE OF  COOKIE FILES

 

6-1 DESCRIPTION OF COOKIES USED BY THE SITE:

The site uses cookie techniques.

A cookie is a small file (less than 4MB), stored by the site on the user's hard drive, containing information relating to the user's browsing habits.

Cookies allow us to process statistics and traffic information, facilitate navigation and improve the service for user comfort.

The use of cookie files involves the saving and analysis of personal data, the user's consent is necessarily requested, valid for a period of 4 months. At the end of this period, a new authorization will be sent to the user.

_session_id, a unique session identifier, allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc.).

_shopify_visit, no data retained, persists for 30 minutes since last visit. Used by our website provider's internal statistics tracking system to record the number of visits.

_shopify_uniq, no data held, expires at midnight (depending on visitor location) the next day. Calculates the number of visits to a store per unique customer.

cart, unique identifier, persists for 2 weeks, stores information relating to your shopping cart.

_secure_session_id, unique session identifier

storefront_digest, unique identifier, undefined if the store has a password, it is used to know if the current visitor has access.

 

Audience cookies such as Google analytics allowing us to understand the browsing behavior of our users.

 

Advertising cookies allowing us to send you targeted advertisements.

 

  - “Log files” track Site activity and collect data such as your IP address, the type of browser you are using, your Internet service provider, your referring and exit pages, and your timestamp data (date and hour).

    - “Web beacons”, “tags” and “pixels” are electronic files that record information about how you browse the Site.
