These General Conditions of Sale (CGV) establish the contractual conditions applicable to any sale concluded between, on the one hand, the company Appoline and on the other hand, any natural or legal person making a purchase on the site.

The Customer acknowledges having read these conditions prior to ordering.

Consequently, any purchase on the site constitutes full and complete acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions in force by the customer.

The company Appoline reserves the right to modify its general conditions of sale at any time. In this case, the applicable conditions will be those in force on the date of the order by the buyer.


“Customer”: designates a natural or legal person, consumer and/or professional, who uses the Website and acquires one or more Product(s), for their personal needs, through the website, having previously adhered to the General Conditions of Sales.

“Appoline”: the SASU Appoline company

“Site”: this merchant site which aims to sell online to individuals

“Product”: designates a product offered for sale on the site

“User”: any Internet user connected to the site

“Recipient”: designates the natural person designated by the customer to receive the goods.

“Order validation”: the firm and final confirmation of the order by the customer


These General Conditions of Sale apply for the entire duration of the online availability of the products offered by Appoline on the site

Acceptance of the general conditions of sale:

The customer acknowledges having read the general conditions of sale and expressly declares to accept them once he has confirmed his order on the site.

By accepting the general conditions of sale, the Customer accepts without reservation all of the stipulations provided for in these conditions, to the exclusion of all others. The general conditions of sale are those in force on the site on the date of validation of the order by the customer. The general conditions of sale are valid for the duration necessary for the supply of the goods and services purchased, until the expiration of their guarantees.

Full conditions:

A change in regulatory legislation or a court decision rendering one or more clauses of these general conditions of sale null and void cannot affect the validity of these general conditions of sale.

Such a change or observation could in no case allow the Customer not to respect these general conditions of sale. If a condition was not explicitly mentioned, it would be considered to be governed by the practices in force in the distance selling sector whose companies are headquartered in France.


The products sold are those available at the time of confirmation and payment of the order by the customer.

In accordance with article L 111-1 of the consumer code, the company Appoline  strives to best present the detailed descriptions of the products on the item sheet allowing the customer to know the essential characteristics. The information is that provided by Appoline’s suppliers. The information is given for information purposes only and the company Appoline cannot be held liable if errors are introduced. Likewise, the photographs cannot guarantee perfect similarity, particularly in terms of colors, the latter cannot be contractual and the liability of the company Appoline could not be engaged.

The liability of the company Appoline will, in any event, be limited to the amount of the order and cannot be held responsible for simple errors or omissions which may have remained despite all the precautions taken in the presentation of the products. 


Prices are indicated in euros (€) all taxes included (TTC) on each item sheet. Items will be invoiced based on the rates in effect at the time the orders are placed.

Prices do not include participation in packaging and shipping costs. These latter will be  invoiced additionally and indicated before validation of the order.

For delivery within the European Union, prices take into account the VAT applicable on the day of the order.

All prices are non-negotiable by the customer.

The company Appoline reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, it being understood that the products ordered are invoiced at the price  in force at the time of registration of the order.


You can place an order online on the website

Orders sent by email or post will not be taken into account.

The ordering process is as follows:

• Choice of items and addition to basket

• Validation of basket contents

• Identification on the site if the Customer is not already identified

• Choice of delivery method

• Choice of payment method and acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions

  • Payment validation

The Customer has the possibility to view during the different stages the details of his order and its total price and to correct any errors.

Any validation of an order by the customer implies and entails acceptance, without exception or reservation, of these General Conditions of Sale, and its payment.

The Customer will receive an order confirmation email following validation of their order.

The order is only definitively registered after validation by the Customer of his payment agreement and acceptance by the bank of the transaction.

Appoline remains the owner of the items until full payment of the order, i.e. receipt of the order price by the Appoline company.

Appoline reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order from a Customer with whom there is a dispute relating to the payment of a previous order or who presents any form of risk in its eyes.

Validation of the order by the customer constitutes acceptance of the prices and description of the items available for sale.

All data provided by the Customer during the order process and the recorded confirmation of this order constitute proof of the transaction.

The Customer can at any time consult the monitoring of his account in the “my account” section on the website

As delivery is carried out by carriers, delivery tracking information is provided by them. The Appoline company cannot be held responsible for errors or unavailability of information provided by carriers.

Our products are available as long as they are visible on our website and while stocks last. Non-stocked products are only available subject to availability from our suppliers.

The simple fact of adding a product to the basket does not constitute validation of the order. Thus, the product may become unavailable between the time it is added to the basket and the validation of the order by the Customer.

If products are unavailable after you have placed your order, we will inform you by email. The Appoline company then undertakes to cancel the order and fully reimburse the price paid by the customer. The refund will take place within fourteen (14) days following payment by the customer.

Shipping and Delivery:

The Appoline company delivers to Europe.

As the packages are sent from France, no customs fees are expected for deliveries within the European Union.

For orders placed outside a country of the European Union, taxes will be applied. The customer undertakes to pay all taxes due on the importation of products (customs duty, VAT, etc.) applicable depending on the country in which the order is received.

The Appoline company undertakes to deliver the items ordered and paid for to the address chosen by the Customer.

Delivery is free in mainland France from 250€ of purchase outside the furniture and lighting category (total amount of the basket excluding delivery costs).

Below this amount, delivery costs are established according to the weight and volume of the items based on the current rates of the post office and our carriers. The method, time and cost of transport will be specified at the time of the order, depending on the place of delivery, the nature of the products ordered and the transport service chosen by the customer.

The costs and deadlines are indicated to the Customer before the final validation of his order.

The items are delivered to the carrier within 3 working days after confirmation of the order.

Customer Responsibility:

The Customer is informed that it is his responsibility to check the condition of the items delivered upon delivery, in the presence of the delivery person or the collection point staff. In the event of an anomaly observed, the Customer must immediately express reservations by mentioning it on the delivery slip.

By anomaly we mean: damage, item missing from the order form, damaged or opened package, broken item.

In the event of an anomaly observed, the customer must notify the company Appoline within 3 days (article L.133-3 of the commercial code) by email or by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt. The Customer must provide photos of the anomaly noted and the transport label appearing on the box. After this period, no complaints will be admissible and the products will be considered as delivered in good condition.

In the event of acceptance of a damaged package by the customer, this is equivalent to acceptance of the goods as is and the Appoline company cannot be held responsible for damage caused to the goods by our delivery operator.

The customer is informed that the chosen collection point may refuse to accept the package, in which case the package will be directed to a new collection point or a post office located on the carrier's route. The company Appoline cannot be held responsible for this change in delivery location and the customer cannot request compensation for any inconvenience caused by a change in collection point compared to that defined when ordering.

In the event of indication by the Customer of incomplete or inaccurate delivery information, the company Appoline cannot be held responsible in the event of delay or impossibility of delivery. In the event of return of goods for these reasons, the costs of reshipping the order will remain the responsibility of the Customer.

In the case of delivery by Colissimo against signature, if the Customer is not present when the delivery person passes, a delivery notice will be given to him in his mailbox or sent by SMS or email, and he will have a deadline which can be consulted on the carrier's website to collect it at its post office or from a commercial partner of the carrier. At the end of this period, the package will be returned to the company Appoline and the Customer will have to cover the costs of a new shipment.

Means of payment:

The customer has the possibility to pay for his order online by:

  • PayPal 
  • ShopPay

Right to retract:

In accordance with article L 121–16 of the Consumer Code, you have a period of 14 days from receipt of your products to exercise your right of withdrawal without having to provide reasons or pay a penalty.  After communicating your decision to exercise your right of withdrawal within this 14-day period, you have another 14 days to return the product(s) concerned by the withdrawal.

Return costs and risks associated with returning a product are the sole responsibility of the Customer.

The simple return of the item in declaration or the refusal to take delivery is not sufficient to express your desire to withdraw.

Conditions of exchange and return for refund:

Any exchange or return must be the subject of an exchange or return request from the “contact form” section of the site 

The Customer must indicate their wish to return their product by specifying the order number. As part of a quality approach, the Customer is invited to specify the reason for their return.

After validation by the Appoline company, the return process will be communicated to the Customer.

If the Customer's order includes several items and he wishes to return more than one item, he must specify during this return request all the items he wishes to exchange or be reimbursed.

The products must be returned exclusively to the following address: Appoline 41 rue Charles Bassée 94 120 Fontenay sous bois.

Returns to relay points are not accepted. Packages should be shipped directly to the address listed above.

Condition of items:

All returned items must be sent back perfectly intact.

No returns will be accepted if the returned items have suffered deterioration (dirty, damaged, scratched, stained, washed) from their original condition making them unfit for sale or have been used.

The returned item(s) must be returned properly protected, in their original packaging, guaranteeing the integrity of the product during return transport. The products must be accompanied by any possible accessories,  of their labels, instructions for use and documentation. The items must also be accompanied by the order number.

Any product damaged, incomplete, missing or whose original packaging has been damaged will not be refunded or exchanged.

If this is the case, the package will be returned to the customer and the costs of returning the products will be the responsibility of the Customer.


The customer will be reimbursed within a maximum of 14 days following the date of receipt of the product. Reimbursement will be made according to the initial payment method.

Subject to the conditions recalled above, the company Appoline will reimburse the amount including tax of the order corresponding to the returned product, excluding initial delivery costs.

Transfer of risks:

The transfer of risks of loss and deterioration will take place upon delivery and receipt of said products by the buyer.


Our items offered on are subject to the legal guarantee provided for by articles L 217-4, et seq. of the Consumer Code and to the guarantee against hidden defects provided for by articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code.

The Customer thus has two (2) years to use one or the other of these guarantees. For lack of conformity, the period begins from delivery. For hidden defects, the period begins from the discovery of the defect.

Four (4) conditions must be met for the customer to benefit from this guarantee:

  • the defect or defect affecting the purchased product is serious
  • the defect or defect must be hidden
  • the defect or defect existed before the purchase even if it appeared subsequently
  • it must not be the consequence of improper use of the product

In the case of an apparent defect, a lack of conformity or even a hidden defect in the item, an expertise will take place. It will be followed, if the defect or defect is proven, by an exchange or repair. If this is not possible, Appoline reserves the right to reimburse the Customer at their own expense.

The company Appoline cannot be held responsible for the misuse and/or abnormal use of the articles that the Customer may make of them. Likewise, the Customer is expressly informed that the company Appoline is not the manufacturer of the products presented on the site , within the meaning of law n°98-389 of May 19, 1998 and relating to the liability for defective products.

Thus, in the event of damage caused to a person or property by a defective product, only the liability of the manufacturer thereof can be sought by the Customer, on the basis of the information appearing on the packaging of said product. 

The implementation of the guarantees must be the subject of a request made by email to the following address: contact@maisonappoline. com

The complaint must be motivated and accompanied by proof of the damage suffered (photos, etc.). The Customer must indicate whether he wishes the product to be replaced or refunded.

Transport-related guarantees:

Assuming the risks linked to transport, the company Appoline undertakes to deliver the products ordered by the Customer in closed, resistant packaging, appropriate to the content and transport requirements. Any product damaged or lost in transit will be replaced. The guarantee linked to transport is only valid if the Customer or their Recipient has signed the delivery note or transport receipt presented by the carrier on which they have taken care to issue precise, dated and signed handwritten reservations. By affixing his signature on the delivery note or transport receipt, without making any reservations, the Customer acknowledges that his package was not damaged during transport. In the event of a dispute, the original packaging must be kept until the dispute is resolved. The Appoline company advises the Customer or their Recipient to inform Customer Service by email at contact@maisonappoline. com within a maximum period of 72 hours from delivery, after this period no complaints will be taken into account


The Appoline company is responsible for the proper execution of the contract concluded with the Customer.

In the event of force majeure, however, we cannot be held responsible for non-performance of the contract or a defect in its execution. Force majeure is any event occurring independently of Appoline and the Customer which has the consequence of partially or totally preventing the execution of contractual obligations. Are considered as cases of force majeure or fortuitous events, in addition to those usually retained by case law, total or partial strikes, internal or external to the Appoline company, confinement, epidemic, earthquake, storm, fire, flood, water damage , blocking of means of transport or supply, governmental or legal restrictions, blocking of electronic communications. In the event of force majeure or fortuitous event, Appoline undertakes to inform the Customer within seven (7) days of its occurrence. If this impediment continues beyond a period of fifteen (15) days, the Customer may request termination of his order .

The company Appoline is not responsible for hypertext links which could be displayed on our site and create harm for the Customer.

Reservation of title: remains the owner of the products until full payment.

Intellectual property:

All texts, comments, works, illustrations and images reproduced on are reserved under copyright as well as intellectual property and for the entire world. Any total or partial reproduction of the site is strictly prohibited without prior agreement stipulating the contrary.

Applicable right:

These general conditions of use and sale are subject to the law

French. In the event of disputes, the Customer may make complaints to the company Appoline by email to contact@maisonappoline. com

In the event of persistent disagreement over the application, interpretation and execution of these terms, and in the absence of an amicable agreement, any dispute will be brought before the competent French courts.
